It Takes Seconds To Kill Your Brand Image In Social Media

As I have already mentioned I recently joined twitter and at the moment I am still trying to grasp the concept. Yesterday we had an article which showed why we need to watch what we do and say in social media space. The twitter conversation, characters and the plot was all created by us. It was all hypothetical but today we have a real case scenario. As I was looking around twitter to find some good links to read I came across a profile that was bashing everyone on twitter. Some of his remarks were very rude and downright disrespectful.

The user was frustrated and angry at twitter because for some odd reason he lost a bunch of followers. Please take a look at the image below to see his rage towards twitter and other users. I am not sure if you would respect this person or firm, but if I were an employer this certainly wouldn’t be my ideal applicant, and at this point their brand is without a positive brand image.  Read the rest of this entry »

HRBot: Human Resource Robot That Spiders Your Social Profile

Finally I was convinced by a friend that I should join twitter. Of course, I had heard all the good things about twitter but I had no idea there was so much potential. As you can imagine, like million others I got hooked and so far have spent quite a few time mingling and searching for twitter profiles. As I was going through some twitter profiles I found many corporate twitter profiles out there. Companies that have thousands of employees. I also saw a few job recruiting companies that had their twitter profile up and they were “participating” pretty actively. While I was looking around and trying to soak in all I could, I came across HRBot. This profile really struck me so I decided to post the twitter conversation here.

Welcome To Applicant.Com

applicant

Before we get any further we would like to thank you for taking the time to visit applicant.com. After the launch of our first site we decided we would go ahead and start a blog on another topic that we are passionate about. Applicant is all about helping you make better choices. There are times in life when we all come across moments that we just can’t pass and then there is the process of application. Did you know 35% of people that are actually qualified for a job or a loan get denied simply based on how they fill out their application? As surprising as it may sound, it is true.

Applicant.com will start out as a weekly blog. We will have one indepth article each week. As of this point we want to put time into creating posts that are more in depth rather than populating the blog with articles just for the sake of it. We have also added a “jobboards” section where you might be able to find work that might be of interest to you. As we grow we will add more jobs from around the web and offline world and at some point we will be announcing job openings at our own sites as well.

If you would like to get in touch with us feel free to send us a message using the contact form. We will make sure to get back to you within 24 hours. One more thing before we end the post, since applicant.com is a weekly blog at times it might not be possible to remember to come back next week to see what else is new. So please take a moment and subscribe to the feeds to stay updated. The blog will be updated weekly (one post per week) so we won’t really be taking over your inbox or feedreader. If you would like to subscribe please click here or use the RSS button at the top right.

Once again thank you for taking the time to visit applicant.com. We promise we will make every bit of time spent here worth your while.
