Girl Scout Cookie Girl = Symbol Of Innocence, Not Adult Role Play

I am sure most of you are enjoying girl scout cookies at the moment. After all, it’s the season when young girls come knocking on our door hoping we would buy some. And most of us do buy a whole lot at a time since girl scout cookies are like seasonal fruits. Anyway, when we (I) think of girl scout cookies, the first thing that comes to our (my) mind is innocent girls running around with a radio flyer wagon trying to sell cookies. Well, that might not always be the case.

As usual I was browsing the web and I found a link on reddit that pointed to Amazon. The search was for “girl scout cookies” and I was hoping for some delicious girl scout cookies. Well, the girls were there but not with the cookies. They had something else. This is my personal opinion and feel free to judge me or disagree with me. But when I think of girl scout cookies or girl scout in general, I think of young innocent girls trying to sell cookies, not adults who look like they are trying to sell something else. I think it’s wrong to manipulate something that represents the young girls of America and is sort of an American icon into a sexual object due to it’s popularity in culture.

I understand that sometimes to spice things up in the bedroom, role plays are quite necessary. But aren’t all other role play options that we have not enough?Do we really have to start exploiting something that usually reminds us of a young child’s innocence? I am not against the dress, it’s the “girl scout cookie girl” that is associated with it that I am bothered by.

Once again, this is my personal opinion. When it comes to girl scout cookies, I tend to think of young innocent kids, not adults in mini skirts. I find this degrading to the girl scout culture that has become a part of the American families and culture itself.

That is just so very wrong.

It’s not only wrong, its sick…

While not for me, who is anyone to judge what someone else wants to get up to? After all, Britney Spears made her career on a school girl uniform.

Makes you wonder about society though, doesn’t it?

We live in a culture that values sexual purity and sexual innocence (a nice way of saying ignorant in this instance), ergo, the young girl persona (Catholic school girl, Girl Scout, whatever) is seen as attractive. If we actually move to a place of sexual maturity and respecting, not shaming, sexually mature women then the “innocent young girl” would not be as attractive.

I don’t know how many “men” I encounter who are intimidated by my sexual maturity and sexual intelligence.

On a different note, no, I’m not enjoying Girl Scout cookies right now because I don’t know any Girl Scouts! I am in DESPERATE need of Thin Mints! :)

I guess I’ll be one of the few people who aren’t going to say how disgusting it is. I guess because 1. I don’t have kids so I don’t relate. 2. This is something on sale on a major store so it is obvioulsy as in demand as lets say, Naughty Nurse, Bad Kitty, etc. As bad and distasteful every commenter might think this is, from the link there are obviously as many or more woman who are not only wearing the outfit but twice as many guys who are enjoying that same outfit. So, before people go bashing men for liking this, remember that there are people who are much more open minded sexually and woman obviously have to be buying and wearing this.

I like girl scout cookies, and I like skimpy outfits on women. If I could have a woman in a brownie point outfit feed me Thin Mints, I’d be in Heaven, I tell you what.

  8. Ritu says:

Thanks for your comment guys. As I mentioned on the post, I personally think it’s wrong.
