Posted by Mark in It’s obvious that many small businesses aren’t in a position to hire in this economy. However, one business (Plaza Cleaners) is trying to help the unemployed indirectly. We are not sure where the business is located. If you have any information on them, please let us know.
Update : Based on all the comments, the business shown in the picture above is located in Portland, Oregon. Their website can be found at PlazaCleaners.

I think I could pass that way next time I’ve got something that needs to be drycleaned. They’ve got the absolute correct spirit. Good for them!
Pretty typical. Under the heading of “How One Business is Helping the Unemployed”, there follows no description of what they are doing that helps the unemployed other than the unspecific word “indirectly”. This is of course accompanied by a picture that shows absolutely nothing.
I therefore conclude “Oh goody, a business that expects to survive via social conscience”.
Atlas is shrugging.

That’s a very nice thing those cleaners are doing. If more businesses would do things like that…it’s a small shimmer of hope for some. Thanks for sharing.
