Yesterday we posted a report on job employment situation which was pretty depressing. 467,000 job cuts in June marked the highest in unemployment rate in 26 years. However, we are sure most that had their jobs cut weren’t really happy with their jobs. Not saying that they didn’t need it, but most people aren’t happy how they are treated at work or are overall unhappy with what they do for a living, most of the time. However, it seems like “work life” in some companies is a “blast.” Yesterday while we were trying to find some recruitment videos for big companies we came across three big web companies, Google, Digg and Facebook. Check these videos out, these employees sure seem to love their job and employers.
Digg
Digg is a social news website made for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet, by submitting links and stories, and voting and commenting on submitted links and stories. Voting stories up and down is the site’s cornerstone function, respectively called digging and burying. Many stories get submitted every day, but only the most Dugg stories appear on the front page. Facebook is a free-access social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. (wikipedia)
These are recruitment videos so they had to be fun and lively. Given current economic situation and daily challenges these companies and employees face, think their job really is all that fun? Share your thoughts.
