50 Ways To Use Twitter as a Job Search Tool

Everyday more people are using Twitter to find jobs. Not only are people on Twitter to look for jobs but employers are also looking for people to hire. Some are on Twitter specifically to recruit. Twitter can be a very lucrative way to search for a job, get involved with the community and help others out. Use it while you search for jobs in other, more typical ways and you will land the job you have always been looking for.

Here are 50 ways to use Twitter as a job search tool.

Use Twitter search to look for jobs that are tweeted using keywords that pertain to what you are looking for.

Connect with people in the companies and jobs that you are looking to get into.

Tweet questions you may have in your field. It shows you have an interest in your field of work.

    Thanks for a great list. I find some to be pretty basic but there are quite a few that needs to be mentioned. The other thing about creating lists is that you always have to remember users that are still new to it so this article covers them quite well. Thanks again for putting the effort to compile such a massive list. Job well done.

    I understand that Twitter is a good venue to toot your horn, but many employers are getting Twitter Fatigue.
    I did something totally different. I posted my resume on BetterJobTomorrow.com and within 2 hours I received a call about a job that was not yet posted on BetterJobTomorrow.com. I was hired the next day; during the Great Recesison, no less!

    Twitter personally drives me bananas, but this is a great list for people who can stand it. Too often lists are short and provide only the most basic information, or longer lists become repetitive or simply add unnecessary information, but yours found a balance of tips for beginners as well as seasoned twitter vets. Good job!
